About Oranges

As the most commonly grown fruit in the world, oranges come in many different flavors, from extra sweet to extra sour. Although most people do not eat the bitter-tasting rind, it is frequently ground into livestock feed after heating and removing water. Also extracted from orange peel is orange oil, which is used in food flavoring, perfumes and household chemicals such as cleaners and polishers.

Orange blossoms and petals contain a strong aromatic component used in perfumes. In some European countries, blossoms falling from orange trees are gathered, dried and used in teas. Others use orange tree leaves to brew tea for medicinal purposes.

By implementing mechanical harvesters that “shake” the tree canopy, forcing oranges to fall into the harvester, farmers collect oranges when they are ripe during late summer.

How to Make Orange Smoothie Recipes
For orange smoothie recipes, try adding fresh orange sections, orange juice or even orange zest. You can use canned mandarin orange juice in your smoothie, but for best results buy fresh oranges in season.

Orange Peach Smoothies
1 Cup peaches with juice
1 orange, peeled and sectioned
1/2 Cup orange juice
4-5 ice cubes
Add all ingredients to blender and blend.

Orange Yogurt Smoothie
1 Cup orange juice
1 orange, peeled and sectioned
1 Cup orange or vanilla yogurt
4-5 ice cubes
Add to blender and blend until smooth.

Orange Pineapple Smoothie
4-5 frozen strawberries
1 orange, peeled and sectioned
1 banana, peeled and broken in pieces
1 Cup pineapple, with 1/2 Cup juice
4-5 ice cubes
Blend in your blender until smooth.

Orange Peach Smoothie

1 orange, peeled and sectioned
1 cup canned peaches, with juice
1/2 cup orange juice
1/2 cup milk
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1-2 handfuls of ice

Tangerine Smoothie

ingredients
3 plums
1 small apple
1 tangerine

directions:
Cut all 3 plums and in half and throw them in the blender
Cut the small apple carefully in half and put it in the blender
Peel the tangerine and pull apart, put them in the blender
Finally put the lid on the blender and keep it on for one minute and there you have a lovely fruit-lissuos smoothie

Strawberry and Orange Smoothie

2 oranges peeled and cut
1 cup of strawberries
2 cups of ice
1/4 of vanilla(optional)
Blend til smooth and serve.

Orange Chocolate Smoothie

one small bar of chocolate
15 large strawberries halved and green part taken off
one and a half table spoons of cocoa powder
half a medium orange peeled
and some grated orange for decoration on the top (optional)

Apple Orange Mix
1. One cup of ice, apple juice, and orange juice.
2. 1/2 a cup of milk.
3. One apple, sliced and peeled.
4. 1/2 a teaspoon of vanilla extract to add additional flavor.

Simple Banana Orange
1 Cup orange juice
2 bananas, cut in chunks
2 Cups banana or orange yogurt
Add ingredients to blender and blend until smooth.
